I have really hard water (Hardness 329 ppm) with Calcium at 105 ppm and Magnesium at 16 ppm.
I have never had to soften water before since the house water is ok.
I have seen where Dr. Redhawk suggests using ion Exchange Resin or I can use Potassium Chloride.  Is there a preferred option here?
I will pump water into a IBC tote to make JMS and can also use this to spray for insects and disease as needed.  Can I just add either of these to the IBC tote or is the only way to do this is with a water softener system?
