In Asia, monk fruits are commonly used to make herbal tea in summer. I like the sweet taste of it. Somehow it is not as popular as stevia here in US.  Has anyone tried growing monk fruits from seeds? If I buy the whole dried fruit, are the seeds inside still viable?

Is there a better time of year to plant the seeds?
