Wonderful home in North Eugene has opening for housemate this fall. Just getting started in permaculture and urban homesteading, with emphasis on herbs both medicinal and culinary. Huge yard with big organic gardens, lots of fruit trees, berries, chickens. Plan on getting bees, rabbits, and mushroom growing soon. House is large, with lots of light, wood stove, TV room separate from living/dining room, washer/dryer, lots of amenities. Share home with woman in her mid fifties, and will be building a small cabin in the back yard for a separate rental. There may be another person or couple in RV also on the property, but the house, bathroom and kitchen is shared with only one person. There is often visiting grandchildren. Two rooms in the house are used for a home business and there is staff and interns working during weekdays. Looking for someone over 40, male or female, non tobacco smoker, non heavy drinker, who is into permaculture, self reliance, and urban homesteading. Someone into sharing some meals and working on home projects but also wants a fair amount of personal space. Prefer someone who eats meat at least on occasion as we will be butchering our own. Bedroom is 10x11 with hardwood floors, a big closet, and huge windows. Rent is $400/month which includes all utilities including business class speed Internet and cable tv.

Switching from electric heat to a rocket mass heater reduces your carbon footprint as much as parking 7 cars. Tiny ad:
A rocket mass heater is the most sustainable way to heat a conventional home
