Hello,
To all who made this website thank you for the community!
Over the past few months, I have been having some what of a quarter life crisis, with many tragic events.
I took some time off work, and delved into my designs/inventions and did a lot of study.
From this time I have decided to change careers to become a microbiologist!
I am fascinated by DNA and the codes of life!
I believe that DNA can be altered & used to manipulate energy and mass, to transform land & water environments with biological life forms.
I have also been looking into how the potential of how DNA can be used to produce more advanced material and construction.
I believe that, while permaculture is great in its communities and sustainability and moral values. It in my current opinion lacks somewhat in for highly technical development, research, funding, resources, political influence.
I will likely inactive on this website and moving towards more of a sustainable agronomy/ sustainable innovation for making high monetary gain.
I think permaculture needs to realise that while Mollison/lawton/holgrene may be more inclined to moral reasons to shy away from making a lot of money! Money is an amazing resource that needs to be captured and stored and used.
I think that people in permaculture are more inclined to try and be self-sufficient, and this can often lead to reduced income and in some ways a level of poverty in the rich western world.
Whilst I believe money may have no use when we are dead, and it is important to take care and improve the world for future generations.
I believe it is very important to realise that one can be an ethical socialist/capitalist, even if it is abundance based automated social welfare.
The wealth of a nation is in its people, its people gain wealth from the environment of the nation.
By working with organisations to profit from moral and sustainable industry, I believe that I may help in a small way to help move commerce to be more guided to my beliefs on what wealth really is!
thank you for reading/listening to my rant/thoughts during my quarter life crisis!
I am still processing these thoughts, and am open to other peoples opinion, with the exception of politics and communism etc as I do not want to go into that!
Regards,
Alex
