Just had a "jack and the beanstalk" moment.  I sold duck eggs to a regular customer, but he also traded me bean seeds for some eggs.  Aunt Ida's Italian Beans.
I told my students that I expect the beans to grow into a stalk that I can climb to find a giant and a goose that lays golden eggs.

Anyone else grow these?  I can only find a few references to them on the internet.  The guy I got them from said they are "prolific" and since he lives near-ish to me (about 30 miles SW) they should be somewhat adapted to my climate.
