I thought I'd make up a little tutorial for those having a hard time finding the content they recieved through the Kickstarter, or our dailyish freebies, or a gift code they were given. All this stuff can be found in your My Stuff, either in the form of Gift Codes (which you can claim) or access directly granted to a Digital Market thread.

Finding your My Stuff

You can follow this link to go to My Stuff, or you can find a link to your My Stuff in the forum menu.

In desktop view, the link to My Stuff is at the top. First click on your profile icon

my profile location permies
click on your name in the top-right corner

And then click "My Stuff"

my stuff location permies
click 'My Stuff' in the drop-down menue

On Mobile Devices, this menu is at the bottom:

scroll to the bottom of your screen, and click 'My Stuff'

Finding Digital Market Threads You Own

Now that you are in My Stuff, there's options to look at your gift codes as well as the digital market threads you own. Let's start with the ones you own!

click 'DM threads - I own' and then click what you want to access

On Mobile View, you'll select "DM Threads--I Own" and then scroll down to see your list of threads you own!

scroll down to 'DM threads - I own' and click it to see all your threads

Click the link of the content you want to access, and you'll be taken to it!

Once you're there, there videos will be embedded in the thread

videos you own will be visible in the first post of the thread

And downloads will be at the bottom of the first post

location of downloads on permies digital market. Location is under the Upgrade Plans section
scroll down below 'Upgrades' and look for the download link

Here's what it looks like on Mobile View

look below the upgrade section for the download link

Finding and Using Gift Codes

To get to your gift codes, click the "DM Threads--Gifts I Manage." Once there, you'll see the option to "Show Gift" (which makes it easy to send it to someone), or copy the gift code and claim it for yourself.

copy and paste the link in your address bar to claim it. Or click 'show gift' to send it to someone else

If you want to claim it, copy the url and paste it into your address bar. Then click "gimmie now!" and you'll have it!

click 'Gimmie now!' to claim your giftcode for yourself

I made these mobile and desktop screenshots for another thread, and thought they might be helpful here, too.

If you are on MOBILE view, you'll see a screen something like this. Scroll down below the "upgrade" section and click "download attachment." Like this:

When on DESKTOP mode, you'll see a screen something like this. Scroll down to the periwinkle section and click the "Click here to download" link. Like this:

Please advise.

I got a gir bot for acres-dream book... when I click (I'm logged in) It only gives me the option to purchase.

When I click on private kickstarter forum support - it says "oooops. you don't have sufficient privileges to access this forum"

when I go to "My stuff" there are only 2 items - I thought there was a lot of stuff available.

My transactions show nothing there.

Please help.

Cheers,

Jake

Hi Jake!

I think what might have happened is that you used a different email address on kickstarter. Look at your inbox and see which email your 5 Acres and Dream book went to. Send me a PM with the email address you used on kickstarter, and I should be able to get this sorted out for you. Thanks!

Hi all! Here's a handy-dandy guide to finding all the 'stuff' you got from supporting the RMH Kickstarter!

Good morning,

It seems to that this the place where I should post a question.  Back in June made a purchase: Permies Premium 213138 which is a bundle focusing on outdoor kitchens.  I made the purchase via paypal and there is record of payment.  I am looking under profile and I do not see a "My Stuff" tab. Is there another place I should access the bundle I purchased?  Please see the attached image.

Ah. Now that I have purchased the Building a Better World in your Backyard eBook, it seems that I DO have a "My Stuff" tab under my profile header. However, there is still no access or link to Outdoor Kitchen Bundle I purchased on Jun 12th.

Hmmmm ....  i looked at your "my stuff" and see very little stuff.  My first thought is: maybe you bought stuff with a different email address?

Hmm. Damn, you are correct. There is an account that is me under a different email address. However I do not recall making that account. Is there any way to merge accounts? I have not interacted with Permies under the account i apparently purchased the outdoor kitchen bundle with.

If you can log into that other account and post here (with that other account) that you want the accounts merged, then I should be able to merge them.

You don't need a password to log into the other account--just use the email address and that email address will get a link to click that will let you in.

I hope that helps!

Hi Nicole.  Thanks so much for your help.  This is Ian Thompson posting from my Ian Thompson II account.  I would like to have my Ian Thompson II account merged with my Ian Thompson account.  I am sorry for the bother, I am not sure how / when I created the second account.  Please let me know if you have any questions.  Thanks.

Your accounts are now merged!!!

The  Ian Thompson II account might have been automatically made if you purchased something on permies while not logged in, and used a paypal account that is linked to a different email. Our system then automatically creates an account under that purchasing email address, so everything you buy is tied to it. I think this sort of thing only happens when you're not logged in when buying something, but I honestly haven't tested it, so I'm not 100% sure.

Hi,
just received the email letting me know that I now have access to Beau M. Davidson - "Cob Building: Foundations, Window, Doors and Permitting".

here: https://permies.com/wiki/226599/Cob-Building-Foundations-Window-Doors

though it seems most of the video url lead to nowhere on vimeo, unless there is a magic trick to it

cheers

Hmmm, I just tried the first and second videos linked in that thread, and neither worked for me, either.

I've contacted the people who set it up, in hopes they can figure out what went wrong. Thanks for alerting us to this!
Staff note (Jules Silverlock) :

Thanks for sending out the bat signal Nicole! Hopefully it is now sorted

Hey Jules,

now it works. I can see the embedded videos and they play. Thanks for taking care of this so quickly.

Cheers
