Cat and dog self-medication plants

I've heard about the benefits of allowing animals to self medicate by instinctively eating specific plants that evolution has hard wired them to eat. Sepp Holzer plants so called 'poisonous plants' for this purpose. Just wondering what kinds of plants might be good to have around for cats and dogs to safely self medicate. I always have oat grass planted in an indoor pot for the cat but am considering other things too. Any ideas?

I'd be interested in this as well. My indoor cats like to go out once a day to chew on grass, which does its job. But I wonder if something else might be good for them.

My cat chews on mint. Not sure if it's for 'medicinal' or pleasurable purposes.

Of course catnip is the first that comes to mind; having lots of plants from the Lamiaceae family would probably be a good idea.

Hi, our old, arthritic chocolate lab, Cider, regularly chews on young, fresh Comfrey foliage. Something about high alkaloid content?

I have 3 greyhounds and i've seen them chew on wild oat (Avena fatua) some white mustard (Sinapis Alba and diplotaxis spp) mulberry (Morus alba) and rough cocklebur (Xantium strumarium) the later is toxic, but looks like they know wich plants and parts and amount to eat and wich not.
