Hi all. I recently transplanted a large number of my veggies outside. They were outside for a couple days before I noticed there were holes appearing in the leaves. They range from smaller holes to be absolutely ravaged. It is mostly effecting my peppers, but they are showing up on my tomatoes and cucumbers as well. My first thought is pests (my peppers plants had aphids while in pots) but I cannot see any visible pests. What could be going on and how can I fix it?

Your post reminds me of this one:

https://permies.com/t/180963/cherries/cherry-tree

Your first picture looks like grasshoppers though the small holes look like something else.

Several bugs like pepper plants:

Caterpillars, whiteflies, Red Spider Mites, Thrips, Pepper Weevils, Snails, or Slugs.

In the other thread, a worm was finally found so caterpillars very well may be what is eating the leaves.

Keep looking and maybe you will find out what is eating the leaves.

If it turns out to be caterpillars just pick them off and drop them in a pail of water to drown them.

I wish I could be half as happy as this tiny ad!
