I've stumbled on this interesting method of constructing structurally solid building frames using intrinsic load capabilities and geometries of native materials. Not exactly hand hewn but close.

Another more well-know method of building with geodesic domes makes me wonder if folks here know of other unusual framing methods aside three mentioned.
