Build a “Free Fuel” Wood Fired Rocket Stove Outdoor Kitchen with Uncle Mud

We are pleased to invite you to join Uncle Mud for a one-day cob rocket stove build as we continue our Natural Building work at Bending Oak Farm. Learn how to use earth (sandy, clay, subsoil) and tree limbs from your own yard to build a convenient outdoor workspace for cooking and canning your produce, boiling maple sap, and hosting garden parties.

Join us at 10am Saturday morning for the build. Plan on getting thoroughly muddy with us as we make “Cob” to build our rocket stove from sandy clay and straw. We will also be building a sturdy food prep counter for our outdoor kitchen!

After the workshop we’ll fire up our cob oven which we built last year to make pizza and brownies!

Please bring morning snacks, lunch and a water bottle (we have fresh, clean filtered rainwater to share).  Also, please dress for weather and wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes.

To register please visit https://bendingoak.com/cob-rocket-stove-oven-workshop/

Camping ($25) and cottages ($55) available Friday night and Saturday night call  330-931-6299 for reservations.
