Hi - this seems like a silly question, but I'm relatively tech savvy and I have looked for how to do this and have not been able to find it.

Use Case
I create a new post on something, say a job offer
I update that job offer and want to edit the original

Possible Solutions
There is a way to edit the original (but I haven't found it yet)
I reply to the thread with an update
I create a new thread and I date the new thread or make the title more descriptive to differentiate it from the previous one
I delete the previous one (but I don't think I can do this either)

Thanks for any help, not urgent, I'll make what seems like the best decision for me for now until I hear otherwise

The edit button disappears after a while.  Too many people were using it for evil ends.  There is a way to manually turn it on, but for the most part, we don't because... well, history.

It much better if you add an update in a new post on the thread.  For so many reasons, this is the best path.

Don't create a new thread.  That might taken as spam.  One thread, with new posts updating it.

Thank you!

That's what I figured and I appreciate the conformation.
