The fire ants love my greenhouse and thrive there year round. I’ve been fighting them for years with no success until now. In Alabama the beautyberry bush is covered with berries this time of year and I use a tincture made from the berries for mosquito repellent so I tried poking a sprig of the bush that’s full of berries into one of the beds as an experiment and it worked! It occurred to me only later that I will be fighting a rash of them trying to come up in the spring so I tried using a sprig stuffed unto a little mesh, produce bag and it worked just as well. I’m so thrilled! I think this probably makes me officially a nerd!

It may make you a nerd, maybe you could get a Nobel Prize for the solution to Fire ants.
I am sure many people will be pleased.
Perhaps there will be a market for the berry bush?
