The Urban Farming Guys in Kansas City have been doing amazing things with permaculture in the roughest zip code in the city for several years now. Here is a great video on how they make the most of free resources to create huge amounts of compost in a short time:

Nice Video. I've picked up bagged leaves and grass for composting. One thing I try to do is to examine the lawn that the leaves and grass originated from. I stay clear of weed free lawns, a clear marker for the use of herbicide and I don't want to bring that into my garden. So when you're out Guerrilla Compost Hunting, pillage from nice weedy lawns.
