Our species of ground nut comes from southwestern New Hampshire. These New England ground nuts have been traced back by the Pequot Indian Museum in CT to be over 9000 years old. They are non GMO and come from wild stock. If grown in rich soil with plenty of sun and water for a few years they can reach the size of avocados but they are best eaten when they are around the size of large walnuts or a lime.
