Hi,

I hope everyone reading this post is doing well. I would like to know if someone used this website to buy a grafted avocado tree in France : https://www.leaderplant.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=avocatier
It mentions that rootstock used is zutano. How was their experience using this service (if someone used it). Also, how cold hardy is Zutano rootstock ? I read different articles that it is hard to generalise this as there are multiple things to consider like disease resistance etc... Nonetheless, I was wondering if someone has deeper understanding regarding rootstocks. I might buy a pinkerton avocado grafted onto zutano rootstock as I might keep it in container because I just have a long narrow loggia (balcony) and I heard that Pinkerton avocado are managable in terms of fruit production in containers. We have cold winters in Paris region (France) with snowfall maximum for 10 days (uneven annually). I might bring them inside when temperature drops close to freezing point. What are your thoughts ?

Happy gardening,

Priyanshu
