In my Maxima squash seed saving forays, I've noticed that most individuals from this type do not have the dry orange flesh that others do, as well as an all white seed that doesn't seem to have the brown seed coat of other types. Do any of you have good uses for these squash other than decorative? I know they can be eaten, but I'm only just getting to know them.
Also, I've noticed several of my squash have an "eye" on the bottom end. I originally thought this was a trait from turban genetics mixed in, but now, I'm not so sure since they have the dry orange flesh, and have a range of colors.
Dirty hands + a sweaty handkerchief = hope for the future.
