Morning folks. I wanna find more ways to help hibernating wildlife medium and small to have a future in my community and region. I wanna attract more garter snakes, toads, field mice, insects, chipmunks and other native creatures that absolutely contribute for very long time. I wanna model my rock habitats like the ones in Britain where they draw more wildlife to spend for the winter. Any way I can make it happen for wildlife in America? I'd like more pictures of designs of rock habitats and how creatures dwell among the crevices and cracks in the boulders and slabs of rocks. Please jump in if you need me. Bye bye!

I don't know. I have to look one up. You had rock piles for wildlife before to combat pests such as rodents and bothersome insects?

Back. I've found the British rock piles are the same as in the U.S. Rock walls were designed to keep the ground stable and fight erosion. They also help hibernating species and support some plant species from the cracks and crevices. Have any of you use rock walls as a border to keep livestock as in centuries past?
