I'm starting a heat mass stove project,
I'm investigating the heat properties of carborundum (silicon carbide) my understanding is that it both absorbs and releases heat in an efficient way, moreover, the way in which it releases heat is different to other materials, I don't understand the science behind it but according to manufacturers in the UK  : Ecco stove

you don't need ducts and fans to shunt the heat through the house.

Does anybody have experience working with this material in stove building?

I'm wondering -  can you use carborundum grit as an aggregate in a concrete mix and cast interlocking stove and flu components including secondary burn ... ? Thanks in advance for any help, experience, wisdom.

It wasn't my idea to go to some crazy nightclub in the middle of nowhere. I just wanted to stay home and cuddle with this tiny ad:
