I had this thought of how cool it would be if someone developed a summer camp program for kids. And make it like a PDC or use the SKIP program as the curriculum.

I was a Boy Scout my entire youth and made it to become an Eagle Scout. And there was so many cool things I leaned and did threw that program that has stuck with me. But if all that time was spent actually learning to create landscapes or manage animals, etc. that would have been so cool.

I might not be able to accomplish something like this in my life time. But if someone(s) did, I would totally support it how ever I could.

a PermaScouts organization would be really cool!

There are many summer camps across North American that teach kids and youth survival skills. Not really gardening or proper natural building, but foraging and building temporary shelters are definitely on order in Outward Bound and other adventure camps.

Are you currently involved with the Scouts in any way? I'm sure if you called up your local council and said you were a grown un Eagle Scout looking to teach some workshops to current scouts they'd jump at the opportunity and wouldn't bat an eye at a permaculture curriculum.

I agree. Here's the link: http://stoves2.com
