I can't join you.
-But I wish you the best of luck finding people out there to build with!

Working towards Earthship design, or anything similar, is a very, very smart and conscientious move.
The standard home is almost utterly useless without constant utility connection.

-Keep looking/designing/thinking/building/etc.!
-Peace

My name is Kathleen Grant. I’m 64, on a fixed Social Security income, and seeking a small patch of Earth where I can live simply, care for the land, and carry out my personal mission: restoring soil, supporting native species, and creating a haven for bees, bats, frogs, fireflies, and other ecological allies.

I am not looking for a work exchange or a role within a structured community. I’ve lived a life where my agency—over my time, body, and choices—was taken from me far too often. That part of my life is over.

What I am looking for is a small place of peace among others who value autonomy, community, earth care, and self-paced living. I come with a giving heart—I love to share, offer help, and collaborate when it feels mutual and right—but always from a place of freedom and choice, never obligation.

I have $5,000 to contribute toward a small land share, lease, or co-stewardship opportunity, and I receive a monthly stipend. I’m equipped with solar gear, excellent tools, a deep well of life experience, dedicated permaculture study, and highly creative energy. I seek a place where I can live lightly, love the land, and occasionally commune with others on a similar path.

If your project or community offers that kind of space—independent, earth-rooted, and mutual respect free from hierarchy—I would love to connect.

Aga’pe,
Kathleen Grant
