Good morning folks! I'm looking for more help in finding plants native to the Wabash region of Illinois and Indiana home of the great Shawnee chief and liberator Tecumseh, Miami chief Little Turtle and other well known figures who used the region to dictate the future of America. I'm concentrating on healing and eating healthy from the plants I grow in my gardens. Any important ones for Native Americans in that region? I already know of the cultivated plants over there, but anybody's welcome to jump in for feedback. I'm concentrating on areas from the White River to the Little Wabash where there's some richer Native American history. Anybody heard of the Wabash Confederation? Please drop in to share some historic facts and stuff relating to the plant life down there that were used for medicinal and culinary reasons as well as for cordage. Take care!
