Hi.
I'm tinkering with a design for a rocket pizza oven, and i'm a bit confused about how long the horizontal burn chamber should be? I've attached some sketches to illustrate.
1. Long chamber
2. Short chamber
3. Essentially no burn chamber.

I guess it's all to do with mixing gases, so would fins inside the flue help?

I'm aiming to make it as hot as possible - so would something like Fig 4 work? More wood/ air = hotter?

Any thoughts, comments, ideas would be most appreciated.

Thanks
Colin

Hi Colin. I've been tinkering with this idea for a while as well. I began with an earth oven as described in Kiko Denzer's book and now have integrated a rocket stove into it. I'll be knocking version two down mid March and building my final (finger's crossed) design. Here is a link to my youtube vids FYI.

Good luck!
Mark

Since we are entering into Cob Oven Season...Another Cob Oven design. The guy also uses it for pizza.

It sure isn't pretty but the basic design is there.
