I am looking for one or two people or couples to join me off grid stewarding a redwood forest reserve I manage in northern California.  I have been here for five years and helped build and now caretake a small facility here on the 600 acre property.  It is a very special place, with one of the last healthy coho salmon runs in California.  The land is recovering from past logging and wants our loving attention.

This could potentially become a long term home for the right person or people.  Or it could be an enriching stepping stone on your path elsewhere, whether you come for a week or a season or several years.  I'm looking for people who have an attitude of service to the land, community, world, and who will develop a relationship with the land.

The deal would be a work trade, small number of hours in exchange for living here.

Hi Philip, I’m very interested in talking to you about this.  We are a couple with some experience, are already prepared to live off grid, can support ourselves, are super low key private.  What would be the things you’d most like help with?  Let’s talk🤩

I helped out on a property up there called Old Mill Farm many years ago just outside Mendocino proper. Magical place and it was right after I got my cert from Bill M. so I was sheet mulching and eating chanterelles almost the entire year round. My partner and I would love to help out if there is still a need. I sent you and email Philip! I'll grow you more food than we can process and sniff out all the wild mushroom patches! =)

Always! Wait. Never. Shut up. Look at this tiny ad.
