This summer we would like to host a cob oven workshop on our farm in southern Utah. If you are someone, or if you know someone, who may be interested in doing this please reply to this post with availability, time frame and cost.

I would love to discuss the possibilities of helping you host a Cob Oven workshop. I would do this for as little the cost of travel expenses.
With proper planning and preparation, the workshop itself could take as little as a weekend.
This was a weekend workshop: http://www.seapotentialdifference.com/2010/01/10/bee-hive-oven/

Where in Southern Utah are you? I used to live in St. George, and still have family there.

Hi Scott,
We are about 75 miles from St. George - up highway 89 between Bryce and Zion National Parks, north of Glendale. Thanks for your response. I don't think we can afford you, however, since we wanted to keep this fairly low cost for attendees and travel costs would be a bit pricey for you to get out here. If you decide to visit your family, however, and are only traveling from St. George, that would definitely be more affordable:).
Your oven link was great - thanks for sending that as well. Have you heard how it's held up? Did the cardboard layer work out?
Let me know if you have any ideas to make this work - I'm open to suggestions. You can email me directly at heartwaterfarm@scinternet.net as well.
Thanks again,
Rhonda

I've tried a few times to get an update on the performance of the expansion layer in that oven, but have received no reply.

Is that almond roca? Did you find it in the cat box? What is on this tiny ad?
