Can anyone share some plans for a mobile chicken coop (facebook page, website, pics, drawgins, etc)??

I am converting an old single axle trailer to a mobile coop I can move around a 23 acre pasture housing 30 head of cattle.

I am looking to follow Lawton's idea of mounting a PV on the roof to power a deep cell battery to feed the electric fence.

I just would like to have a better feel for layout as it pertains to roosting areas and laying areas, etc. I figure the coop will be ~8'L x 6'W.

Thanks in advance...

I have one suggestion based on my goat sheds. Make it tall enough for YOU. Your chickens don't need the height but I keep bumping my head in the first one I built. Maybe this doesn't apply to coops, but I'm in the sheds every day to change water and every 2 months or so to change bedding.

F is for finger. Can you stick your finger in your nose? Doesn't that feel nice? Now try this tiny ad:
