I made a video documenting the wildfire smoke in our region (Adirondack High Peaks) and our 7 year old forest garden on an educational campus. There’s no commentary, just the scenes and sounds. Hope you enjoy.

It’s part of a larger playlist that documents the various seasons and weather events as well as the changes over time. The forest garden is growing steadily now with good levels of moisture, sunlight, and warmth. Many of our trees are putting on impressive levels of growth and will have fruit ready to eat this season.

Summer camp is underway and hundreds of children and adults are on campus, helping out on the farm and in the gardens. Kids are picking berries, smelling different herbs, harvesting rhubarb, and soaking in the forest garden experience. They are learning simply by being in the space. To them this kind of a garden is normal, and they’ll take this with them and share it with others through their whole lives.
