We take a look at the lush world of our hugelkultur raised bed garden. This year, we've been blessed with abundant water thanks to the new well, allowing us to give our gardens some extra hydration to fortify the soil. Now, at the end of July, our rhubarb and asparagus are thriving. Surprisingly, just three potato plants have dominated the space, hinting at possibly some volunteer plants from last year. Despite only beginning our watering routine about a week ago, the plants have responded enthusiastically. And as a fun twist to our garden update, we have a delightful infestation... of kittens!
