Hi,
It was too hot and I'm too tired to harvest all the elderberries this year.
Can I just throw them into the compost pile? I have no idea whether it's hot, dry, wet, or otherwise.
I just throw mostly anything organic into it, and shovel leaves over it and turn it a lot.  The leaves have gone through a mulching thingy.
I know the berries have to be heated to be safe for eating.  Will the compost heat them up enough to put on my garden after a while, or not?
