My spouse and I recently purchased 13 treed acres in Nova Scotia, Canada. Our soon to be retirement property.

We are very interested in planning and building a garden in this setting.  Also, since the area was logged about 20 years ago, there are a lot of very tall skinny trees all over. I am interested in learning the best way to thin and manage this forest.

We will also be building our off-grid home on this property.
We have recently cleared a small area for the house, and are in the process of clearing a driveway

Welcome to Permies Paul!

Go check out the woodland forum when you get a chance, we have an author visiting the forum and answering people's questions while they promote their new book!

The search function also on the website should bring up some good information to glean as you learn more and more on your journey into homesteading.

Above all else, feel free to share as you work on these projects! People have really innovative and useful information that can be of assistance.

See you in the threads!
