Hello fellow permaculturists and community builders and back-to-the-landers
I just found this listing on BC Kijiji:
http://bc.kijiji.ca/c-real-estate-land-for-sale-Beautiful-connected-lots-for-sale-in-Trout-Lake-BC-W0QQAdIdZ368914405
There are 5 lots for sale, all for $85 000 CDN, so just $17 000 each. The town, Trout Lake, has just 20 residents, and is nestled in the Kootenay Mountains in the Arrow Lakes region. Talk about spectacular beauty, and not far from the permaculturally very very active regions of BC.
Some details about the area are here:

... and a LandQuest Realty info PDF with some history about the area and the Windsor Hotel.

They list it as a potential vacation destination but maybe it would be of interest for people looking for a really remote, co-living spot with potential for living in the mountains, incredibly gorgeous recreational/adventure area, and so on.
Get in touch with me if you're interested because I could possibly be convinced to pick up one of the lots (just not all 5).
Best,
