I’m new to rabbits and wondering if anyone has come up with a colony set up that involves rotating rabbits through different sections of a static area  with chickens following behind in rotation? Something like Marjory Wildcraft’s set up but incorporating a small flock of chickens. It would be in deep wood chip mulch so are there problems with that medium for the rabbits?  Would love to hear thoughts.

Hi Cherish,
I have heard of rotating rabbits on pasture frequently. I think following them with chickens in a good idea, and I have heard of similar ideas.

The part that I do not think is a good idea is the use of woodchips for rabbits. I think chickens would love it, as it could act as a "carbonaceous diaper" for the manure, provide homes for all kinds of bugs and grubs for the chickens to eat, and makes scratching around more interesting. Rabbits on the other hand are herbivores... they want grass and plants, which won't be available if you have a layer of woodchips.
