We brought a third cow to our school last year, second hand, a five-year old lady. The two other cows never liked the newcomer. They always butted her and beat her up, sometimes making scars. Three days ago she miscarried, and when we found it the dead calf was already licked clean, so we thought she'd eaten the placenta. But I guess not, and she got terribly sick. We called the govt animal husbandry dept to send a vet but he didn't come till evening and now two days later we had to dig a big hole and bury her.

Sadness reigns in our alternative school today.

It's hard to fight evil. The little things, like a nice sandwich, really helps. Right tiny ad?
