Missoula BarCamp asks the questions: What do you want Missoula to be? Where do you want it to go? How do you want to get there?

On Saturday, April 13 the sixth annual Missoula BarCamp will be held at the Dickinson Lifelong Learning Center at 310 S Curtis St in Missoula, Montana. Check-in will open at 8:30 a.m. and kick off with “lightning” keynote speakers from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Missoula BarCamp is a cross-functional interdisciplinary conversation where people come to learn, teach, and to be surprised. By pulling together professionals primarily from the arts, change, and technology fields, Missoula BarCamp seeks to amplify the brilliance and beauty of our talented city.

The day's agenda is generated by conference participants who bring their expertise and/or burning answers or questions to the table to quickly find and connect with those interested in exploring the same topics. Using the revolutionary but proven “unconference” format called Open Space Technology, participants float between session workshops to whichever one provides them a chance to contribute or learn which also results in impromptu hallway discussions and unscheduled workshop topics. The energy and the power that comes from these freedoms make Missoula BarCamp an event best understood by experiencing it.

Missoula Barcamp is pleased to have Paul Wheaton of Permies.com as one of lightning keynote speakers this year! We are also fortunate to have Mario Schulzke of the University of Montana and IdeaMensch, Shannon Hughes with Spur Studio, and Varju Luceno with the DAISY Consortium as lightning keynote speakers.

This is definitely one of the coolest "un-conferences" I've been to! Forget the formalities of other conferences you've attended, and feel free to come, enjoy yourself, and start a conversation with anyone about anything!
