The idea that you can grow your own insulation from mushrooms is just too cool! What is more natural than myco-insulation?! Well, wool is a natural insulation. They are similar. You can eat the sheep and use the wool. While with myco-insulation, you can eat the fruiting body - the mushroom, and grow insulation from the fungal roots. The R-value is similar to fibreglass, but it is fireproof!
