Not sure which forum is the best to post this in, so I will cross post it in a couple...

My wife and I are visiting Hawaii at the end of May for our anniversary.
We'll be spending a few days each on Kauai and The Big Island.

Can anyone suggest some permaculture farms we could visit.
We would like the chance to see what things are done, and how they are different from Oregon.
We also would love to buy some local produce to enjoy while we are there.

Any help appreciated. Thanks Much

Aloha Matt ~ I am from Oregon, but now live in TN via Maui.
My friend Amara from Eugene moved to the Big Island and is part of the community at http://permaculture-hawaii.com/.
I've wanted to visit for years now, but haven't made it.
I understand the ocean is a bit rough down mountain from their place, but there are natural hot pools to soak in.

On Kauai, another friend Tara from Oregon, is married to mushroom farmer Philly White. I hope to tour their facility some day. She teaches awesome yoga classes in Hanalei.
