Please help, our schools are experiencing a scabies infestation

I learned, by way of our local news, that our schools are experiencing a scabies infestation.They have shut down the schools for the week and advising parents to seek medical attention.Well,we can't afford medical attention.I don't think it has spread to our kids or to us.I'd like to err on the side of caution and try to head this off before it becomes a problem.My son and I both have severe allergies and nearly anything over the counter we put on our skin just makes us worse.I read permethrin and tea tree oil can be used as treatments.Does anyone have a recipe for a cream or lotions that are quick,cheap,and easy to make?Also a supplier for permethrin.Thanks in advance.

Watch permethrin, , the synthetic version is poisonous, and the natural is still very irritating to sensitives.

Best bet is boric acid powder, if you can use it without inhaling any. It is less poisonous than salt, but will stick in lungs.
Do backpacks and hair, and it will fireproof em too !

Tea tree oil is ok, but stlll tough on sensitive skin too, haven't had that great of luck myself, tho at least it doesn't smell like neem oil.

Can use cinnamon oil while you are waiting to find other stuff. It will kill most everything but MRSA. keep it out of eyes and mucous membranes.

Most will recommend diatomaceos earth as a dusting, don't inhale that either.
I havn't been able to get DE to kill anything except soil wildlife.
