I hadn't heard about this study, but guess it is shaking up the psych community. Americans are outliers on the outlier of psychology spectrum....

Great article. Shows how much we can't see the wood for the trees sometimes.

To me the article is interesting for the moral ramifications. It seems like it forces ethicists to abandon any acceptable account of moral norms based on a cultural model, and retreat into the psycho-social model to socio-affective or biological spheres. I make infographic occasionally, and actually made one on Heinrich's research. It's attached below.
