How many times to breed sow?

Wondering if its better to let the pigs mate just once, all day or just for an hour or so per day? Boar does seem tired after twice, thinking best to remove sow for today? Also might it be better to let them mate again the next day or 2 also?

I just leave mine together. If the boar is way bigger than the sow I might separate them after a couple good ones, tho.

Thanks Renate, Couldn't find any info on this topic. After several good ones she was getting scuffed up a bit so I decided she'd had enough. Tomorrow will let them try again. Happy the boar figured it out now. His first time I didn't think he got the job done but was amazed at the piglets that arrived 114 days later. Never seems too easy but always an education..

Seems like when you first put the male in with the female she doesn't want him but he wants her - the next day or maybe two days later it's the other way around. So your plan may be a good one.

They should mate twice. We just leave ours together.
