Hello.
My name is Eric, living in northern Berkshire County of western MA. I'm on my solo attempting to start up a homestead and realize at this point I am rather close to have many systems in place to make the transition into a landbased/homestead based lifestyle and income, but need some help.
This is an offer for someone who is interested and likeminded, who is no able to obtain
land but has the knowledge, ability, skill and interest to make a commitment to begin the journey into a homestead life.
The land is rather small, once part of our family
dairy we had to put into a land trust and down scale to the approx. 5 acres we have now, but plenty to do lots on. The land is mainly open, no real woodlot for
firewood, but presently have the following:
-Maples for making syrup on a small scale, this includes a half pint evaporator in a true sugar 'shack'
-Established gardens (around 1/2 acre, with lots of space to expand)
-Freshly planted edible landscape area including
perennial greens, berries, nut
trees, herbs.
-Beautiful flower gardens thanks to my grandmother and mother
-Electric
fence energizer
enough for any and all projects that require electric fencing on the property.
-Grazing area enough to feed and raise a perhaps 2-4 sheep, or goats, but the land is growing things preferable to sheep.
-In the process of setting up a 14ft by 24ft
greenhouse.
-Two houses, one is my mother's where she lives, the other is my place (the older of the two)...This is where it gets tricky, it is a difficult place to live in the winter, unless you don't mind the cold, I use presently two woodstoves to heat the place and this requires lots of
wood and effort, there are septic/drainage issues requiring new septic and leech-and much more work needed. Because of the condition of the house I wish to take it down and replace it with something more efficient and easier to live in. (This of
course is a long term goal, and much can change therefore).
I am interested in making a deal with one or two other people, who are like minded and experienced in this approach to life, to create, develop and share in a common endeavor. The intention is to collectively come together with skill, knowledge and financial resources to make this homestead work both as a source of sustenance and income, while also envisioning establishing a sort of educational venue (perhaps??).
I of course, like most, have minimal money, and probably will remain so due to choices I have made in work and living. BUT....
For the serious interested individual(s):
I will provide the land, the house, and around 10,000 dollars to aid in building a new house for ourselves to live more comfortably in and work from there.

I am a deeply spiritual person and devote my time to what I believe is the primary purpose of all life, to unite with Spirit, and cultivate higher consciousness through living, working, and all experiences in order to better serve and develop spiritually. This comes hand in hand with the work I do on the land, and what I envision increasing over time. I love to travel and explore to wonderful cultures and landscapes of this world. I have travelled extensively in India and am very inspired and influenced by the spiritual philosophies and approaches to life from this part of the world, but also I have spend nearly 10 years in close relation with a
Native American Elder undergoing many traditional teachings and ceremony.
My love of travel continues, and I end up taking most falls and or winters (anywhere from October-March) to travel and continue this portion of my personal developed and journey.
Lets come together to create something that will help bring a higher way and state of being and doing into actualization! There is much to do, much to learn, share and create, much to be challenged by and much to overcome.
