We are Ukuvuna Urban Farming in Johannesburg, South Africa. We specialize in
permaculture training and consultation, primarily targeting charities and households.
During the 2010 World Cup, our
city will be swamped with soccer fans from all around the world. The city is expecting severe accomodation, transportation and food shortages. Fortunately for us, our hectacre demonstration site has most the food we need and we have our own transportation around the city available.
We are willing and ready to host a number of people (preferably permies) on our site. There will be a limited number of beds avaiable and ample room to pitch tents. We have self-catered and catered (traditional Zimbabwean cuisine) options. We are working on getting a large TV (plasma?!) so that all the
games can be viewed on site.
Expect a uniquly African, relaxed, family-style situation. Actual prices and availability will be available shortly. Right now, we are assessing the demand to make sure that we can accomodate everyone who would like to stay with us!
