Hi all. I have a little bit of land in clearlake oaks California and I am looking to develop and expand it , and more sites across the nation and world with like-minded people. If anyone is interested in starting where im at currently and going from there let me know. Im also up for talking about the next projects after this one but it may be a while before I'm actually ready to act on those plans until this site is further along.
Thanks and feel free to text me

I saw some land by clearlake, CA. But it had monthly HOA fees and some very restrictive rules, it was right at the border of Zone 9. I would love to hear a bit about the land that you have.

Well I'm moving my RV on there and I'm getting a yurt and I want to grow some crops it's good slope for like a terrace or situation but I would need to get the plots to my right to really complete the terrace I've already built a shed I got to dig a well I need to get solar going it's just the basics for now but it's a great area for trees really good climate about 80 degrees most of the year

Is this just a 1acre site, where you will be growing most of your vegetables, herbs, mushroom, root crops, fruits and nuts in addition to eggs. Or will it be a multi-acre site where you will have fish ponds and pasture for goat/sheep/cows?

It's not a full acre, even with the plots next to it I plan to get. However it's enough to make a good homestead for sure. I'm not sure about all those different yields, as I'm very nomadic and probably wouldnt want to make that sort of time commitment. For me personally, it's more of a place to keep my things and a base camp for me to lay my head while I'm in california. I'm going to get a goat to clear the land of the overgrown vegetation and then slaughter it and make use of its yields. If other people were there while I'm away, then sure.
But it's a really great slope to terrace or swale, so once I get the plots next to me I plan to have some nice terraces or swales earthworked in. And then use those for trees. Irrigated directly from the well until established and then they probably won't need it. Once I get this land in a good position my goal is to move on to other places and be able to travel around from site to site .

I like your plan.
I wonder how much water you can intercept and filter clean from properties uphill of yours?
Terraces seems like a very good idea, to get access to the produce esp as we think about aging.
With the long growing season of Cali, you don't need as much land to get some nice production.

How easy would it be to get septic, well and solar setup, and then what are the rules for a mobile home/RV setup on site.

I'm already having a well drilled, very cheap because the water table isn't far down. Portable septic. No rules about the RV I could live there like that for the next 20 years if I want to . The road is uphill from me so it would be hard to get the water because of the road but we have all the hard surface runoff from the road itself. And then lots of good land uphill from the road as well. Just not directly connected to my site
