Do you have a permaculture zone 5 on your property? Just curious as I’m contemplating fencing off some of our property to keep the dogs off of it to make more space for wildlife. The other option is just to imagine the National forest is zone 5, but that seems like cheating.

I have 40 acres so it is not hard to find a Zone 5.

Why create a Zone 5 if you don't have one?

I am sure many folks do not have a wild and unmanaged area on their property.  City dwellers, folks with small acreages, etc.

Some folks may not even have a Zone 4.

I do like your idea of fencing off an area for wildlife.
