I asked about this, and my host family took me to a Flower market, I never did get a better answer to 'but is any body still using this to grow food', than-
"flowers are nicer'' But they were very impressed when I told them we have Big Salamanders/Mud Puppies living here in the Northern Adirondacks of N.Y.
