Hello All, I am a dynamic 50 year old male whose been building a homestead for a few years now. I have ducks, chickens, guineas. I have several gardens, a lake, an island on about 4 acres in the pinelands in Southern New Jersey. I am growing several food forests within my pitch pine forest that the Lenai Lenape tribe used to harvest. Self sufficiency is my goal and I am well on my way. I am an electrician by trade. I am out on the land and rarely in the house. The house is a beautiful home made of wood. I’d like to meet a beautiful soul in a female body to share in this experience:)

I like how you said looking for a beautiful soul in a female body. It made me giggle. I am living a similar life in Northern minnesota. I plan to migrate to a warmer climate. But in the meantime I'm learning to be self-sufficient. Happy gardening.

Hello Tina, Southern NJ has a pretty mild climate, after all this is “The Garden State”. I’m always happy gardening in this state-of flow so I know-where My food grow:) (see what I did there) Life is so good in the moment, so that is where one can find me. The goal for me is to add something every day, no matter how small.
I’m pretty worry free, the birds have taught me much:)

Birds tend to be great teachers. Most critters teach me much more than humans. They’ve got some connection. If we’re only willing to listen to them! Hope all is well on your homestead. It sounds like an amazing treasure.

Hello Amber, all is well I experience a wonderful relationship with nature and all she has to offer, especially the birds, they are really funny. They don’t apply for permits to build a nest or wear masks if another bird is sick, they don’t work an 8-5 or pit stock in politicians, they just are. The birds and I, we dont worry and our bellies are full, the rain stays off our heads and we laugh and sing all day:) Hope you are well

Matt,
Smart creatures these birds are. I had a bunch of robin that took refuge building around my place in VT. The neighbor would run them off and take down nests and I just let them play. They never hurt anything around my place, helped eat the berries and played with the chickens and made cute babies. I heard people say they wouldn’t come to the same nest twice, but they reused 5 of them this Spring from last year. 3 of them on the porch right over the cabin door. I am not smart enough about robin to know. They are sweet. Birds tend to make good guides. I find certain kinds showing up at really significant times and I hear myself saying things like ‘time to go…’ and only later realizing it was because of their presence. Like road markers, leading the way of decision and timing. All is well listening to the crack boom of storms and watching rain in the south today, although it is thick and sticky air outside. The roosters were calling before the thunder would hit hard. It was an interesting one.

A new kitten. What are we gonna name it? How about tiny ad?
