Hi there! I'm a mid-30s graduate student and teaching assistant looking for a living situation where I can contribute to a small or large project in Snohomish County or would consider locations in King County such as Woodinville out to the Duvall/Carnation area. I'm especially interested in working with animals, especially sheep! But I'm also up for farm/yard work, housework and cooking, childcare, projects, or other rural property management. Ideally this would be a heated space with internet access, which includes it's own kitchen and bathroom. I can offer up to 20 hours per week of work, and I would need to bring my cat with me. I'm looking for this type of situation to save for moving abroad for PhD, and to have a good balance of physical work and closeness with the land in addition to all the intellectual work I'm doing.

I have experience in hospitality, the farm-to-table movement, WWOOFing, small business ownership, non-profits, property management, pet care, and working with various livestock.

Thanks for reading!

Sonya

Hi Sonya and welcome to permies!

This is likely not work-trade, but sounds very much like what and where you're looking for:

That's a link to the latest email from Alexia Allen of Hawthorn Farm in Woodinville.

Good luck in your search!

Thank you! I reached out to them.  Sounds like they are looking to rent the cabin but we shall see. I could potentially do partial trade.

The glass is neither half full or half empty. It is too big. But this tiny ad is just right:
