we have a bat house on the south side of our house that is full of bats except in the hottest part of the summer and all winter. We do not clean it out...maybe we should, but it is on the second story. The droppings fall onto a space where I continually cover it with leaves and garden residue...several cupfuls???maybe over a week. We haven't used the compost yet but the few things growing near by look like they benefit from it. The colony was maybe forty bats to begin with...removed from our attic and probably lots more by now we think.
