A small nursery propagating and selling unusual perennials and seeds in the South West of Scotland is appealing for help after Storm Eowyn recently devastated their growing area and wrecked their polytunnel. Growild nursery are trying to raise some money to pay for rebuild costs.

to carry on, we need to learn, change and adapt. It will take time and much of our limited resources. That’s why we have set up a Crowdfunding page. Our target is to raise £5,000 so we can pay for the costs of labour and materials to rebuild and, just as importantly, keep our heads above water while we rescue plants, revive the business and all rise again.

This is what they were facing:

and then woke up the next mornign to find everything covered in snow!

If you think you'd like to help then this is the crowdfinding link: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/help-support-growild-nursery?utm_term=A35WqvdPa&utm_medium=FA&utm_source=CL

Thanks!

Good news

Lisa Wesley from Growild wrote:We are deeply touched and overwhelmed by the support of the community of gardeners, rare plant enthusiasts and members of the horticultural industry. Although we reached our target in 24 hours, anything extra will help us keep our heads above water until we can sell plants again. A huge hug and thank you to everyone who has made a donation, bought seeds from us or shared our Crowdfunder on social media. Thank you to everyone who has left comments or sent personal messages. We appreciate all your kind words, they have kept us going.

I found a beautiful pie. And a tiny ad:
