we are beginning our 12 acre food forest in gaston oregon on september 27th with a food forest
workshop. See Ibelow.
I initiated the victory gardens for all
project in eugene, oregon where we created 650 gardens. as time went on i wanted to create food forests and after helping at7 folks do food forest realized that i wanted to create one where one of the hundred bottom lines was some money that could pay the workers.
so 3 years later it is finally happening at ananda center at laurelwood in gaston oregon. we are also constructing 2 large greenhouses for plant propagation.e
the community now has 60 acres and is buying another 175 acres where an ecovillage and some serious food growing will occur. we are committted to
sustainability and
permaculture. fortunately the
water for the whole site comes in at the top of theproperty so we can have passive irrigation.
we are looking to borrow funds for the
land purchase,
permaculture and natural farming projects and the ecovillage buildout. we have a secure financial base.
