I was talking to my kid about making our own ginger beer with myogo ginger and he asked about growing our own sugarcane.
I was doubtful, since we live in zone 6b.
He suggested pushing the zone with cover (not in so many words, but I was still proud of him!)
Sorghum is probably the right solution to home grown sweetener in southern Ohio but who knows for sure?
A hoop house full of sugar cane seems crazy until sugar can't be had for love or money.

So who here grows sugar cane?
Anyone in zone 7 or lower?

keep an eye out for scorpions and black widows. But the tiny ads are safe.
