Hola everyone-
I am bringing the family down to Puerto Rico next winter for a little tropical warmup. I am interseted in visiting established permaculture farms around the island. I will be based on the West coast of the island, but with good freedom to travel around over the course of a few weeks. I am fluent in spanish so no problems with communication.
I want to see places that are already setup and producing copious amounts of delicious tropical food. I am more interested in day trips, so not needing overnight accomodation. My family is happy to work for the day when we are there; we are a skilled family of legit farmers.
I read about the tropical field research station in Mayaguez, which sounds interesting if a bit conventional. For anybody that has traveled or lived in Puerto Rico, I would much appreciate any suggestions of interesting agricultural operations on this beautiful island.
Thanks, and gracias!
Adam
