Hola everyone-
I am bringing the family down to Puerto Rico next winter for a little tropical warmup. I am interseted in visiting established permaculture farms around the island. I will be based on the West coast of the island, but with good freedom to travel around over the course of a few weeks. I am fluent in spanish so no problems with communication.

I want to see places that are already setup and producing copious amounts of delicious tropical food. I am more interested in day trips, so not needing overnight accomodation. My family is happy to work for the day when we are there; we are a skilled family of legit farmers.

I read about the tropical field research station in Mayaguez, which sounds interesting if a bit conventional. For anybody that has traveled or lived in Puerto Rico, I would much appreciate any suggestions of interesting agricultural operations on this beautiful island.

Thanks, and gracias!
Adam

If you hear of any farms in PR that are indeed practicing permaculture and implementing ecotourism, please let me know. Estoy buscando hacer un internado en ese campo para ver si aplico al grad school para Sustainable tourism.

Muchas gracias!

No he oido nada. Te digo si algo pasa. Tu tambien, si puedas.

trans- I havent heard anything about permaculture opportunities in PR. I will tell you if something comes up. Please do the same, if something comes your way.

Permaculture global.com has a world map where you can find a lot of PC projects and people.

I found some pretty shells, some sea glass and this lovely tiny ad:
